Coming up in June all ambassadors perform in 'Alice in Wonder Land' and 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. In 'Alice in Wonder Land' my class plays the flamingos in the croquet game. My little brother's class are the hedge hogs that roll up and are the balls! I'm a villager in 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. Ballet class is great. We're working on grand jetes across the floor which is really fun!

Off to See the Nutcracker

Here I am off to see the Nutcracker. I loved it!!! Seeing the hair, costumes, make up, the acting, and the dancing was awesome! Tomorrow is my first performance in the Nutcracker. Yay! Yikes! Last night we went to the ambassador Christmas party which was really fun. It was a potluck dinner and we all gave the last Secret Santa gift. I got a fuzzy High School Musical blanket and some earrings. Happy Christmas Vacation!

Dance has been going really well. On Wednesday all ambassadors go to a retirement home to dance for the elderly.our dance is called 'Slumber Party'. At our dance school we do Secret Santa in the Christmas season, I have gotten a snow globe, cinnamon candy canes, and a Santa crunch bar.In modern class we are learning a demonstration dance for the upcoming show in February.There's floor exercises, partnering, lifting, and running. Tomorrow night I get to see the performance of the Nutcracker! I'm really exited!

Demo Day Fun

Today was Nutcracker demo day. That's my cast up above. We went to a children's receiving home and a hospital and did the dance from the party scene. I really liked making all those children happy and I loved dancing in costumes! Especially hoop skirts!!!!!

Afterwards M and I went to Starbucks and had hot chocolate! All in all we did the party dance five times. That night was ballet and modern class. What a perfect dance day!

Back to Dance

Here I am stretching for going back to dance. I don't yet have photos of myself in my class room but will be posting some soon. This is our second week at dance class. On Tuesday I have ballet and modern, Wed. is ballet, Fri. is ballet and rehearsal class. Rehearsal is rehearsing for upcoming shows. We are now practicing for a dance called 'Slumber Party'. I'll be posting soon, bye!

Summer Intensive

I really enjoyed summer intensive. We had our teacher Mr. C teaching our class for both weeks except one day! We did barre exercises, center work, leaping from corner to corner, and at the end ''stretching and strengthening''. Stretching through the summer break pays off when you slide into the splits and realize you are one off the three or four people who can go all the way down, so keep stretching!!! We had two hours of ballet every day except Saturday and Sunday. Bliss! I was sad when it ended and I look forward to Fall.

Miniatures

I'm sorry for not posting in awhile but I've been busy, busy with MINIATURES!! I have been trying to finish most of my doll house in time [which I don't think will happen] for the arrival of my new doll house!!!! It's a small two story two room house which is going to be turned into a Bakery!!! Mr. and Mrs. Blue Jay [above] are the doll house family. They have a little girl named Lydia and a baby named Charles. Do you like the photos they have in their living room?

We have made [for them]: bolts of fabric, knitting needles in a basket of yarn, cake mix boxes and flour boxes, newspapers, an apron, cookies, pies, perfume bottle [out of beads], donuts, and fruit.
